Research trip - Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, IKON

Despite being snowed off on two occasions, our highly anticipated trip to visit BMAG (in particular the Coming Out exhibition, which was a fantastic celebration of LGBTQ+ art), and IKON Gallery was well worth the wait! The research gathered into different techniques and styles employed by traditional and contemporary galleries was a real insight. We had an especially meaningful visit to IKON, given a personal tour with Q&A, and have come back with a tonne of ideas for our own exhibition in June! I highly recommend visiting these two galleries if you have not already been!
