Digital Education Symposium @ QUAD

What a fantastic panel discussion and Q&A this evening! The Digital Education Symposium explored how we are equipping our young people for their future world of work.

The key points discussed were:

What creative and digital skills do today’s young people need to enter the workplace of the future?

How do we engage a broader and more diverse range of young people into the creative industries?

What support, skills and partnerships do schools and teaching staff need to inspire, raise aspirations and develop skills of young people?

It was a fascinating insight into digital education form a range of perspectives, including members of the audience, many of whom were teachers/educators from different sectors. The panel discussed many interesting points - two of which were particularly poignant for me - teachers CPD (or lack thereof!) in this field, and how to utilise alternative methods to enhance and encourage creative skills.
